In baptism, we demonstrate our faith. It isn’t a requirement of being a Christian or having relationship with God, but it is important to a life dedicated to being more like Jesus. Mrs. Ilene Bond demonstrated her well-practiced faith by being baptized (for the first time ever!) at Morgantown Care & Rehab on June 21st, 2019. It was a special day because not only did we celebrate Ilene’s baptism but we also celebrated her 92nd birthday! Surrounded by her family and a few nurses, singing hymns and reading sacred scripture, Ilene entered our makeshift baptistry with nervous enthusiasm. She came out of the waters to cheers and tears. Congratulations, Mrs. Bond!
