Painting With Campers

Camp Care campers at Morgantown Care and Rehab Center spent the afternoon participating in a painting project with our elders. This project is just one example of Signature Healthcare’s initiative to break the plague of loneliness and isolation that is commonly found within the elderly population. These interactions have tremendous benefits for both the elders and children. For the campers, it allowed them to learn from elders and accept people with disabilities, while our elders were provided with the opportunity to alleviate the symptoms of loneliness and isolation, engaged them in physical activity, and allowed them to enjoy the spirit and joy of the children.
