Webster’s Dictionary defines a volunteer as “a person who voluntarily undertakes or expresses a willingness to undertake a service (www.webster.com).” At Morgantown Care and Rehab Center we are encompassed with a mass amount of volunteers.
With over two hundred volunteers and the only Director of Volunteer Services, Shirley Allen, in the Signature Company, we are blessed beyond measure. On Thursday, April 16, 2015 Morgantown Care and Rehab Center held a Volunteer Reception to honor their volunteers.
Logan Midkiff, Administrator of Morgantown Care and Rehab Center opened the reception with a welcome, while the guests enjoyed dining and fellowship.
County Judge Executive, David Fields, thanked the volunteers on behalf of Butler County and awards were provided to volunteers by age groups and the number of hours served.
A total of two gold metal, nine silver metal, and twenty-four bronze metal recipients were awarded and thanked for their outstanding time and commitment to serve the elders, families, and stakeholders of Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.
