It was saddening news when the elders, families, and stakeholders were informed that Jordan Osowicz, physical therapist at Morgantown Care and Rehab Center, would be transferring his employment to another Signature facility in Owensboro, Kentucky. Jordan’s compassion for our elders was an enormous asset to the center; however, the transfer to Owensboro meant a shorter commute and more time to spend with his expecting wife and young child.
On the bright side, this departure meant that Morgantown Care and Rehab Center got to welcome a familiar face. Shan Winquist, Physical Therapist, was welcomed to Signature’s family this month. Shan is not a stranger to the company, as she has a long relationship with Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. Shan worked for Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in the past and is excited about the return. Shan earned her physical therapy degree from the University of Kentucky. She has worked as a physical therapist for twenty-eight years and shares her therapy passion with her husband, Rick, who is also a physical therapist. Shan states that her favorite part of the physical therapy field is “seeing progress as people improve.” Shan and her family are from Bowling Green, Kentucky. She is a proud parent of two children–a daughter who works as an emergency room nurse at Vanderbilt, and a son who attends graduate school at the University of Kentucky. Shan enjoys attending church, reading, and exercising in her free time. We would like to welcome Shan to our family and look forward to the exciting accomplishments she makes with our elders.
