Geraldine Johnson Visits St. Louis

There is always something exciting going on at Morgantown Care and Rehab Center.  Whether it’s our daily activities, getting out in the community, or taking trips to desired locations, Morgantown Care and Rehab Center supports Signature Healthcare’s Quality of Life Program.  Signature Healthcare embraces the concept that all elders should live life to their fullest capability, regardless or their age or physical challenges.

Last weekend, Morgantown Care and Rehab Center was able to assist one elder fulfill a lifelong dream.  Geraldine Johnson has been a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.  She spends her time keeping up with statistics and watching the Cardinals try to achieve victory.  Ms. Johnson longed for the day that she would be able to attend one of their games in person. It was only natural that Morgantown Care and Rehab Center would help her fulfill this dream.  With Mandy Clubbs, director of nursing, and Lorna Lee, activities director, in tow, Ms. Johnson traveled to St. Louis for the weekend.  While in St. Louis, the group spent time attending a St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball game and visiting sites such as the Gateway Arch. Ms.  Johnson was all smiles and stated, “I can’t believe I actually got to go to a game.  It was one of the best times in my life.”
